Our Working Philosophy
At Kalkan Homes we consider reliability, dedication, high ethical standards and professionalism to be the key features in offering a first class service to the purchaser.
We enjoy building up close relationships and work hard to understand the specific requirements of each of our clients when it comes to purchasing a property. In highlighting these requirements we can ensure that ‘all the boxes are ticked’. Is the property solely for investment purposes (rentals) or simply holiday accommodation for family and friends? Is it for use throughout the summer or all year round? We can help you answer these questions, and more, offering guidance and impartial advice in order to find the most suitable property for you.
Kalkan Homes is owned by Feridun Özçelik. The company has been in operation since September 2002 and is one of the few agencies in Kalkan to hold the official property agents licence certificate issued by the Turkish Government. Feridun was born in Kalkan and has lived in the village all his life, therefore with his extensive knowledge of the local area, close relationship with property owners, and his personal experience of property construction and design puts him in the perfect position to offer some of the best real estate on the market in Kalkan today.
In the last four years, Feridun has been involved in managing construction (from design to full build) and private land sales. In May 2003 he completed his first project – a large commercial building in the centre of Kalkan, housing a supermarket, five offices and two large apartments. The second of his ventures, completed in 2005, two detached villas located on the Kalamar road just five minutes walk from the centre of Kalkan, have both sold to British couples. The third project was completed in April 2007, a large business centre located on the Kalamar road housing 5 apartments, 8 offices and 7 sizeable shops.
Feridun, fluent in English, is also a founding member of the established Kalkan Association; a committee of people focusing on the conservation of the village in order to retain its magical charm and authentic ambiance. The committee is also concentrating on improving local infrastructure but above all protecting the village from any future overdevelopment.
